Come join the Delaware Anime Society (and especially our Pennsylvania Chapter) for an afternoon of fun at the North Penn VFW Hall in Glenside, PA! We have a larger space this year and hope you will come join us!
Date & Time: Sunday, March 22, 2009, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Location: North Penn VFW Post 676, 2519 Jenkintown Road, Glenside PA (Directions)
Event fee: $17.00 per person (includes goodybag, food and (nonalcoholic) drink, and access to all activities!) Paypal the fee to delawareanimesociety@yahoo.com or pay at the door.
Food: Enjoy your fill of roast beef, meatballs, pasta, salad, and soda
Goodybags: Filled with candy and fun items!
Anime Screenings: Classic shojo anime such as Fruits Basket, Kare Kano, School Rumble, and more!
Manga Reading Table: Have some down-time and read a selection of manga from our display table!
Video Gaming and Tournaments: Compete against your fellow otaku in games such as Smash Brothers Brawl, Guitar Hero, and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Not competitive? Groove the afternoon away on DDR or Samba De Amigo, or enjoy open play on a variety of systems such as PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, and Gamecube!
Card Gaming: Challenge your friends in an UNO deathmatch, or learn how to play Dai Hin Min (a card game made popular in Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club)!
Karaoke: Sing your heart out in our karaoke contest!
Anime Trivia: How well do you know your anime couples? Find out in our trivia contest!
Anime Name That Tune: Test your knowledge of Anime OSTs!
Cosplay Contest: Come dressed as your favorite anime, manga, or video game character to compete in our contest. Special award for the cutest couples cosplay!
Crafts: Make colorful bracelets using our craft kits!
Raffle: Take a chance at earning awesome prizes like DVDs, magazines, toys and more!
